Several weeks ago my mind boggled at the news that, in England, there were raccoon flavored potato chips (crisps in their parlance.) I wondered what, exactly, raccoon tasted like. Sadly, the reviews of the chip were somewhat lacking in describing the chip. Even then, the issue would remain how well the taste was replicated. Well, not too long ago a writer at Boing Boing detailed their experience eating roadkill raccoon. Sadly, they don’t go into a lot of detail on the actual taste, but it is a wonderfully descriptive narration of the day and process of preparing the meal. Just one note; I imagine the writer is Canadian as they mention this occurring recently, during “Thanksgiving,” and this year theirs was on October 13.
